SS Rajamouli’s directorial venture, titled as Bahubali 2 : The Conclusion has gained huge recognition with its record-breaking box office collections in domestic as well as international market. Starring south Indian superstar Prabhas and actress Tamannah Bhatia in main lead, the celluloid bagged a worldwide collection of Rs 1500 crore in 10 days. The movie opened to an average occupancy on day 11 and it’s expected to earn Rs 30 crore as its 11th day box office collection.
Leaving behind the Bollywood movies in the race of highest earner Indian cinemas, the second part of Baahubali : The Beginning began its box office journey with Rs 120.95 crore opening day business. Before having the grand opening on first day of release, the movie earned more than Rs 300 crore income from the paid reviews, premieres, satellite rights and theatrical rights.
After completing one week at India’s box office, the movie grossed an amount of Rs 532 crore as its 7 days total income. Filmmakers released the Chinese version of this film in China on the 8th day and earned Rs 40.20 crore in two days. After earning huge collections in 10 days, the makers decided to donate the film’s first day income as a fund for the families of martyrs in Indian army.
Performing well in other foreign countries, Bahubali 2 movie pocketed Rs 88.65 crore in North America, Rs 1.61 crore in United Kingdom, Rs 1.33 crore in New Zealand, Rs 84.76 crore in United States of America, Rs 3.89 crore in Canada and Rs 10.57 crore in Australia. Thus, the film minted a total collection of Rs 189.97 crore in overseas. The latest box office figures are awaited.
