South Indian superstar Prabhas starred latest Indian movie Bahubali 2 : The Conclusion, which also features Tamannah Bhatia, Rana Daggubati, Ramya Krishnan and Anushka Shetty in main leads, collected a total income of Rs 510 crore on Indian box office. Showcasing an excellent performance in international market, the celluloid raked a business more than Rs 200 crore.
The much awaited second installment of Bahubali : The Beginning kicked off its box office journey with a huge collection of Rs 121 crore on its first. The multilingual flick bagged this amount from its all versions (Hindi + Telugu + Malayalam + Tamil). The movie witnessed massive occupancy in the initial three days of its release and crossed Rs 350 crore mark in opening weekend.
Exhibiting a stagnant growth in the weekend days, the film amassed a total income of Rs 600 crore as its worldwide business in three days. With a usual drop in the earnings after the first weekend, the movie pocketed Rs 80 crore income in domestic arena. Directed by SS Rajamouli, the celluloid garnered an overall income of Rs 247 crore from its Hindi version in first week.
Releasing on more than 8000 thousands screens in international arena, Bahubali movie’s 2nd part witnessed occupancy in the range of 70% to 90% in initial seven days of its release. With the passage of days, the film reported a gradual decline in the audiences response. The celluloid has been placed at the top position in the list of highest grossing Indian movies.
