Indian actor Tovino Thomas is all set to play dual roles in his upcoming Malayalam movie Oru Mexican Aparatha, which is directed by Tom Emmatty and written by Jude Anthany Joseph.
Mr Thomas, who recently finished dubbing for Basil Joseph’s film Godha, will be seen in the characters of a campus leader of the past and one in the making. He had earlier played dual roles as a father and a son in last year’s Style.
Talking about his characters in the film, Tovino said, “The promo song is a flashback sequence set in the 70s in which I play a campus leader named Kochaniyan. While Kochaniyan has only a few portions, most of the movie is set in 2004 featuring my character Paul.”
Explaining the character which he is playing in major portion of the movie, Tovino said, “The latter is someone who joins college having no political inclination at all. But due to certain incidents, he enters campus politics and then becomes active.”
Apart from Tavino, the movie also stares Neeraj Madhav, Sunil Sukhada and Roopesh Peethambaran in the main roles. The actor didn’t reveal more information about the film as it is still in the stage of development.
