India’s key bowlers Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja have been rested for the three-match T20 series against England which is scheduled to start from January 26.

In a statement released by BCCI, Jammu and Kashmir allrounder Parvez Rasool and legspinner Amit Mishra have been named in place of these spinners.

Mishra last played an One Day International match during the fifth game against New Zealand where he took a five wickets and contributed majorly in the victory of India to achieve a 3-2 series win.

North Indian Parvez Rasool has played only one ODI for India against Bangladesh in 2014. He picked up two wickets in that game and finished with 2/60.

After successfully winning the three match ODI series with 2-1 lead against England, Indian cricket team is now gearing up for the next series of T20 matches.

The fastest format of cricket to be played between the two teams is slated to commence from 26th January, which is annually celebrated as Republic Day of India.

The three T20 matches are scheduled to be played in Kanpur, Nagpur and Bengaluru on January 26, January 29 and February 1, respectively.
