Google is all set to unveil Android Wear 2.0 on February 9 this year. “Mark your calendar: Android Wear 2.0 launches on February 9th,” tweeted Evan Blass, known as evleaks on Twitter.

Jeff Chang, who is Android Wear’s product manager, had confirmed in an interaction with The Verge that Google would launch new smartwatches in the first quarter of 2017 and those smartwatches would be running Android Wear 2.0.
The smartwatches are expected to come with seamless authentication, in-app billing support, the capability of swipe to dismiss, browsing the Play Store on the watch to install more apps and more other features.
Google has also confirmed that the existing watches, which include Moto 360 Sport, LG Watch Urbane, Polar M600, Casio Smart Outdoor Watch, LG G Watch R, LG Watch Urbane 2nd Edition LTE, Nixon Mission and Moto 360 Gen 2, would be getting an upgrade to the Android Wear 2.0 platform
