To compete with new entry Reliance Jio, which offers free 4G unlimited data to its customers, telecom company Vodafone on Tuesday announced that it has increased the 4G data benefits for its prepaid users in all circles where it offers 4G services.

The new plan of Vodafone offers 1GB data pack at Rs. 150, the 4GB data pack at Rs. 250, the 6GB data pack at Rs. 350, the 9GB data pack at Rs. 450, the 13GB data pack at Rs. 650, the 22GB data pack at Rs. 999 and the 35GB data pack Rs. 1,500.

In December last year, Vodafone had launched a new plan which came with unlimited calling at a recharge of Rs 344 and 300 MB free data for 4G handset users. The offer was valid for 28 days. Now, the telecom company has come with new offers for its users across the country.

The company’s move came after the Reliance Jio’s extension in its offers. Jio’s plan is offering free 4G data to all network in the country. The offer, which has been renamed as ‘Reliance Jio Happy New Year Offer’, has been extended the validity of its offer till March 31, 2017.

Talking on the launch of new plan for the customers, Chief Commercial Officer of Vodafone India – Sandeep Kataria said, “Our customers are consuming more of content and video online. With these super rich data packs, our rapidly growing base of 4G customers across 17 circles can enjoy much more of mobile Internet while remaining confidently connected on Vodafone SuperNet 4G.”

Mr Kataria further said, “It will also encourage first time and limited users of mobile Internet to explore more by providing greater value. They can access four times more of their favourite content online for the same cost in a truly worry free manner.”
