Bihar government on Tuesday decided that it won’t renew the license of Bottling plants, Beer and ENA (Extra Neutral Alcohol) manufacturing units in the state, in the next financial year 2017-18.
Principal Secretary of Cabinet Coordination Department – Brajesh Mehrotra said that the state cabinet approved a proposal of the Excise and Prohibition department. The decision to not renew license was made in a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
In the meeting, the cabinet made the decision of not renewing the license of 12 Bottling plants, three Beer manufacturing units and six ENA making establishments in the fiscal year 2017-18.
In the meeting which was held at Rajgir in Nalanda district, which is about 100 km from Patna, the cabinet gave its consent to 32 other agendas of the different departments.
The cabinet also made a decision to hold the Budget session of the state Legislative Assembly and State Legislative Council from February 23 to March 31.
